Each year a small percentage of moose hunting permits are allocated to sporting lodges throughout the state. Lodges that win these permits are allowed to market and sell directly to their customers.

Outfitter Tag Moose Hunt Package Includes:

6-Day Guided Hunt with Maine Guide and owner of AGS, Brandon Lane
Lodging at our Remote Camp having you stay in the hunting area
Meals, snacks, and drinks while you are on the hunt
Maine hunting license, the moose permit is included
North Maine Woods Gate & Camping Fees
Transportation during the hunt, you drive to our main location, we go to camp and you ride with us.
Retrieval of the harvested moose, all work after the moose is down, we have that taken care of
Walk-in cooler and freezers to store moose after the hunt
Basic butchering of the animal is included
Package is for TWO people, Permittee and Sub-permittee, and together the chance at ONE moose

Moose Hunt Location

Allagash Guide Service is located in the northwestern corner of Maine along the Quebec border. Maine’s Wildlife Management Districts (WMD) 1 & 2 are separated by the Allagash River. Our camps are situated ½ mile from the river, therefore we are perfectly placed to hunt both zones 1 and 2 with limited travel necessary. WMD (Zone) 1 is a quality zone with about 1 million acres of land available to hunt. We guide and recreate throughout the year in zones 1 and 2, we do not just arrive in the area a few days before the hunt to start scouting. We know the hunting areas well.

To purchase this tag, you need to first make contact notifying us that you wish to purchase. We will then send you our contract and you will have 48 hours to make a deposit of $5,000.00 which will be collected with our contract.

On June 1st, 50% of the balance is due ($7,500.00) and on July 1st the remaining balance is due ($7,500.00).

Cancellation Policy: Any Payments made are NON-REFUNDABLE under any circumstances.

A hunting license is included, you will need to provide us with a current hunting license that you have purchased this year and send us a copy with your deposit. We will need this to purchase your license for you.

Gratuities/tips for the guides and cooks are not included in the hunt prices. Please tip the guides and cooks as you see fit at the end of your trip.
